भिक्षा में राजा बलि और माँ लक्ष्मी

वेदों के अनुसार दैत्यराज बलि ने स्वर्ग को पाने की इच्छा से घनघोर तपस्या और यज्ञ किया। भय के कारण सभी देवताओ ने राजा बलि को रोकने के लिए भगवान विष्णु से प्रार्थना की। तब भगवान विष्णु ने वामन अवतार लिया और राजा बलि के पास भिक्षा मांगने गये।

राजा बलि बहुत बड़े दानी पुरुष थे। भगवान विष्णु ने राजा बलि से भिक्षा में 3 पग धरती मांगी। भगवान ने एक पग में स्वर्ग और एक पग में धरती नाप ली और तीसरा पग रखने की जगह नहीं बची। तब राजा बलि चिंता में आ गये और उन्होंने भगवान को उनका तीसरा पग स्वयं के सिर पर रखने को कहा।

रक्षा बंधन 2025

जब भगवान वामन ने राजा बलि के सिर पर अपना पैर रखा तो राजा बलि सुतल लोक में पहुँच गये। राजा बलि की दानवीरता से प्रसन्न होकर उन्हें सुतल लोक का राज्य दे दिया और एक वरदान मांगने को कहा तब राजा बलि ने भगवान को द्वारपाल के रूप में उनके साथ रहने को कहा। इससे माता लक्ष्मी भी काफी चिंतित हो गयी।

तब देवर्षि नारद जी उन्हें राजा बलि को रक्षा सूत्र बांधने को कहा। जब माँ लक्ष्मी ने राजा बलि को रक्षा सूत्र बांधा और जब राजा बलि ने माँ लक्ष्मी से उपहार मांगने को कहा तभी लक्ष्मी माँ ने भगवान विष्णु को मांग लिया। जिससे माँ लक्ष्मी अपने पति से दोबारा मिल गयी।

इन्द्रदेव संबंधित कथा 

पुराणों के अनुसार जब दैत्यों और देवताओं के मध्य युद्ध हुआ था। तब इंद्र देव की पत्नी सची ने भगवान विष्णु से सहायता मांगी ताकि इंद्र देव पराजित ना हो। तब भगवान विष्णु ने हाथ में पहने जाने वाला सूती के धागे का वलय बनाया और सची को दे दिया।

फिर सची ने यह वलय इंद्र देव के हाथ में बांध दिया जिससे वह बलि नाम के असुर को पराजित करने में सफल हुए। तब यह प्रथा केवल भाई बहिन तक ही सीमित नहीं रही। अब जब भी कोई पति युद्ध से लिए जाता तो उसकी पत्नी उसके हाथ पर यह वलय बांधती थी।

संतोषी माँ संबंधित कथा

भगवान गणेश जी  के दो पुत्र थे शुभ और लाभ। जब उनके पिता उनकी बुआ से रक्षा सूत्र बंधवाते थे तो उन्हें भी रक्षा बंधन मनाने की बहुत इच्छा होती थी। तब दोनों भाइयो ने भगवान गणेश से बहन की मांग की।

इस पर गणेश जी सहमत हुए तथा उनकी दोनों पत्नियां रिद्धि और सिद्धि की आत्मशक्ति से एक कन्या का जन्म हुआ। जिनका नाम संतोषी रखा गया। इसके पश्चात शुभ और लाभ अपनी बहन के साथ रक्षा बंधन (राखी ) मना सके।

कृष्ण और द्रौपदी

पुराणों के अनुसार जब भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने शिशुपाल का वध किया था तब सुदर्शन चक्र से श्री कृष्ण की अंगुली कट गयी थी। तब उस समय द्रौपदी ने अपना आँचल फाड़ कर कृष्ण भगवान की अंगुली पर बाँध दिया था।

उसी समय भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने द्रौपदी को वचन दिया था की जब भी उन्हें कोई भी कठिनाई आएगी तब मैं अवश्य तुम्हारी सहायता करूंगा। द्रौपदी के चीर हरण के समय श्री कृष्ण ने यही वादा निभाया था।

रक्षा बंधन का इतिहास

रानी कर्णावती और हुमायूं

यह कथा काफी पुरानी है। इसका कोई प्रमाण उपस्थित नहीं है किन्तु कुछ इतिहासकारों मानना यह है कि जब चित्तोड़ की रानी को लगा कि उनका राज्य बहादुरशाह जफ़र से बचाया नहीं जा है। तब रानी ने हुमायूँ को जो कि चित्तोड़ का सबसे बड़ा दुश्मन को राखी भेजकर उनसे मदद मांगी थी।

सिकंदर और राजा पोरस 

यह इतिहास की काफी पुरानी घटना है जब सिकंदर भारत आया था तब सिकंदर की पत्नी ने राजा पोरस को राखी भेजी और उनसे वचन लिया कि वे युद्ध के दौरान सिकंदर पर जानलेवा हमला नहीं करेंगे।

युद्ध के दौरान जब राजा पोरस ने अपने हाथ में बंधी राखी देखी  इसलिए उन्होंने सिकंदर पर जानलेवा हमला नहीं लिया क्यूंकि राजा पोरस उस समय के सबसे कुशल योद्धा रहे है।

सिखों का इतिहास

18 वी शताब्दी के महाराजा रणजीत सिंह, जिन्होंने सिक्ख समाज की स्थापना की थी, की पत्नी ने नेपाल के राजा को राखी भिजवाई थी। नेपाल के राजा ने उनकी राखी तो स्वीकार कर ली लेकिन नेपाल के हिन्दू राज्य देने से साफ़ मना कर दिया।

रक्षा बंधन मनाने की विधि

आज के समय में त्योहारों को केवल पैसा कमाने का जरिया बना कर रख दिया है। इस त्यौहार को मनाने से पहले लोगो को नारियो की इज्जत करनी चाहिए। इस त्यौहार को बड़े सभ्य और पारम्परिक तरीके से मनाया जाना चाहिए।

यह त्यौहार प्रत्येक वर्ष में दो बार मनाया जाता है| एक तो होली के समय और दूसरा दिवाली के तीन बाद यह भाई दूज का त्यौहार मनाया जाता है|

इस त्यौहार को भी रक्षाबंधन के त्यौहार के रूप में ही मनाया जाता है| भाई दूज का यह पावन त्यौहार कार्तिक मास की शुक्ल पक्ष की द्वितीया को मनाया जाता है|

यह पर्व भाइयों और बहनों के मध्य के प्रेम को दर्शाता है| भाई दूज के इस पावन त्यौहार पर सभी बहने उनके भाइयों को अपने घर बुलाती है और फिर अपने भाइयों को तिलक लगाकर भोजन भी करवाती है|

इस दिन बहने प्रातः काल जल्दी उठकर स्नान आदि से मुक्त होकर सर्वप्रथम अपने इष्ट देवता और इस संसार के पालक भगवान विष्णु की पूजा और उनसे प्रार्थना करती है|

फिर उन्हें चावलों को पीसकर उनसे चौक बनाना चाहिए| तथा उस पर अपने भाई को बैठाए|फिर इसके बाद में अपने भाई की हथेली पर चावल के घोल को लगवाए|

इसके बाद में अपने भाई के हाथों पर हल्का सा सिंदूर लगाकर फूल, सुपारी और कुछ पैसे आदि रख दे और अब धीरे – धीरे भाई के हाथों पर पानी डाले|

इसके पश्चात अपने भाई के मस्तक पर तिलक लगाकर उनकी आरती उतारे और फिर उनके हाथ पर कलावा अवस्य बांधे|

अब अपने भाई को मिठाई खिला कर उनका मुँह मीठा कीजिये| इसके बाद अपने भाई को भोजन कराएं और उसे पान भी खिलाएं|

हिन्दू धर्म में मान्यता है कि भाई दूज के इस त्यौहार पर यदि बहने अपने भाइयों को पान खिलाती है तो भाई को पान खिलाने से बहन को अखंड सौभाग्य की प्राप्ति होती है|

तिलक और आरती करने के बाद भाई अपनी बहन को उपहार देता है| और हमेशा अपनी बहन की रक्षा करने का वचन देता है|

पौराणिक ग्रन्थों की मान्यता है कि इस दिन यदि बहन अपने भाई का हाथ पकड़ कर यमुना नदी में स्नान करती है तो यमराज उसके भाई की अकाल मृत्यु को टाल देते है|

भाई दूज से जुड़ी पौराणिक कथा और लोक कथा

इस त्यौहार से संबंधित अनेक कथाएं प्रचलित है लेकिन हम आपको आज दो सर्वाधिक प्रचलित कथाओं के बारे में बतायेंगे|

पौराणिक कथा

इस कथा के अनुसार बताया गया है भगवान सूर्य देव और उनकी धर्मपत्नी जिनका नाम संज्ञा था| उनके दो संताने थी| जिसमे से एक पुत्र था और दूसरी पुत्री थी|

जो पुत्र था उसका नाम यम था और पुत्री का नाम यमुना रखा गया था| भगवान सूर्य देव की पत्नी संज्ञा उनका तेज सहन नहीं कर पाती थी|

इस कारण से उन्होंने एक दिन अपनी छाया का निर्माण किया और उस छाया को अपने बच्चो के साथ छोड़कर वहां से चली गयी|

दोनों भाई – बहन (यम और यमुना) में बहुत ही प्रेम था| इसी के चलते कुछ समय पश्चात ही यमुना का विवाह हो गया| विवाह के बाद भी यमुना अपने भाई को भोजन करने के लिए अपने घर बुलाती थी|

लेकिन यम किसी ना किसी कार्य में व्यस्त होने की वजह से अपनी बहन (यमुना) से मिलने उसके घर नहीं जा पाते थे|

एक बार कार्तिक मास की शुक्ल पक्ष की द्वितीया तिथि को अपनी बहन यमुना से मिलने उसके घर पहुँचे| जब यम अपनी बहन के घर पहुंचे तो उनके आया देखकर यमुना भी बहुत ही खुश हुई|

इसके पश्चात यमुना सबसे पहले अपने भाई का आदर – सत्कार किया| और उसके पश्चात अपने भाई को पूर्ण आदर के साथ ही यमुना ने भोजन भी खिलाया|

अपनी बहन के इस आदर सत्कार से प्रसन्न होकर यम ने उन्हें एक वरदान मांगने को कहा – उस समय यमुना ने यह वर माँगा कि प्रत्येक वर्ष इस दिन आप मुझसे मिलने अवश्य आएंगे|

मेरी ही भांति जो भी बहने इस दिन अपने भाई के टिका करेंगी| उन्हें तुमसे किसी भी प्रकार का भय नहीं होगा| यमराज ने यह वरदान यमुना को किया और उसे धन – धान्य देकर वापिस यमलोक चले गए|

लोक कथा

लोककथा के अनुसार किसी गाँव में एक वृद्ध महिला रहती थी| जिसके दो संताने थी| एक बेटा और एक बेटी, जो बेटी थी वह बेटे से बढ़ी थी|

जब बेटी की शादी हो गई तो बेटे ने अपनी बहन से मिलने के बारे में सोचा| तब लड़के भी माँ ने उससे कहा कि तेरी बहन का व्यवहार तेरे साथ बिल्कुल अच्छा नहीं है| वो हमेशा ही तुझसे लडती रहती है|

इस वजह से तुझे उससे मिलने के लिए नहीं जाना चाहिए| लेकिन बेटा जाने की ही जिद करता है| तो माँ भी उसे जाने देती है|

लेकिन जब वो घर से जाने के लिए है तो उसे कई सारी चुनोतियों का सामना करना पढता है| सबसे पहले एक नदी आई और उससे कहा कि मैं तेरा काल बनके आई हुई| तुझे मुझमे समाना होगा|

लेकिन इससे बच कर वो निकल गया और फिर आगे उसको सांप भी मिला जो भी उसे मारना चाहता था| और बाद में एक शेर भी मिला लेकिन इनसे बचकर वो निकल गया| अंत में भाई अपनी बहन के घर के दरवाजे पर पहुँच गया और उसने अपनी बहन को आवाज दी|

उस समय बहन सूत कात रही थी और सूत टूट गया| पौराणिक मान्यता है कि बहन अपने भाई से तब तक बात नहीं कर सकती है|

जब तक कि सूत को दुबारा से नहीं जोड़ा जाए| अगर ऐसा होता है तो भाई के जीवन में संकट आ जाएगा| इसलिए भाई के आवाज़ देने पर भी वह नहीं आई|

इससे भाई को भी बहुत दुःख हुआ और वह वापिस जाने लगा तभी सूत के जुड़ जाने से वह भागती हुई गई और अपने भाई को रोका|

उसने अपने भाई को देर से आने कारण बताया और उसे अंदर ले गयी तथा उसके लिए भोजन बनाया व उसे खिलाया|

भाई दूज का महत्व
